Annual Sports Day

“Sport has the power to shape character, build discipline, and unite us in the pursuit of excellence.” The Annual Sports Day at Sagar Public School, Dwarka Dham unfolded as a vibrant celebration of strength, teamwork, and integrity. The school field came alive with energy, determination, and shared aspirations as students showcased their athletic spirit with enthusiasm and pride. The event was graced by our Special Guest, Ms Shubhi Agrawal from the Sagar Group, whose presence and words of encouragement inspired the young athletes. An exciting lineup of races—including hurdles, sack race, and obstacle race—kept the excitement soaring throughout the day. A heart-warming highlight was the Swachchta Bharat Race for our tiny tots, where children joyfully picked up litter, practised handwashing, and enjoyed bananas—learning the importance of cleanliness and healthy habits in a fun and meaningful way.\r\nA spirited yet healthy competition was witnessed among the four houses. Gagan Thakur, Deepesh Verma, Harkirat Kaur, and Tarini Johri were honoured as the Best Athletes, with Gagan Thakur also receiving the title of Best Sportsman of the Year. Overall Trophy: Rohini House Runners-up Trophy: Pratham House & Bhaskar House The day concluded on a note of collective pride celebrating not just victories, but participation, perseverance, and the values that sports instil in young minds.
